As an American living and working in Colombia, I can truly say that it may well be the Western Hemisphere´s Best Kept Secret. I have lived and traveled all over Latin America and have not found a country that compares to Colombia. Great blog post!

I hate to break it to you but it already is a tourist attraction. Luckily all of the hostel hoppers only hang out in concentrated areas (where everything is double the price for no reason). Nevertheless, I have been to Colombia five times and am so happy to finally live here for a few years; I could spend the rest of my life here content.
