My family and I came through with a cruiseline and were pleasantly surprised. We only had a few hours here, so unfortunately, we only got to see the Russian Orthodox Church from the outside and only had a few moments to stare at the Promenade. (I did blog a little about Nice: http://ditraveling.wordpress.com/2010/08/20/mediterranean-cruise-the-french-riviera/ ) My next trip will be longer and more fulfilling! Nice is 'nice' :) I've been there a few times and I always had fun! I loved taking a stroll on the Promenade des Anglais, having a cup of coffee out on a terrace. And I also remember the Russian Orthodox church. But what's lovely too is, that you can visit neighboring cities like Cannes, Monaco, St-Rafaël, ...
