Majorca, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands, continues to be a popular getaway for continental Europe as well as the celebrity crowd. Just about everyone can find a bit of paradise on Majorca. Of course, you’ll find the sun, the sand, and the blue seas amidst the Mediterranean climate. You will also find a vibrant club scene for which the island has become well known. Alternatively, you can opt to rejuvenate your soul (which might be a necessity after partaking in the aforementioned club scene) in an idyllic, terraced landscape of olive groves that give way to a dramatic coastline. No matter what you are looking for, peace or party, you have the option to experience a lavish lifestyle as the the rich and famous so often do on this sublime island.

Here are some tips for living the high life in Majorca (Mallorca):

1. If you have the means, luxury villas are a must to consider. Luxury villas in Majorca dot the island with styles ranging from traditional stone fincas or country estates to contemporary designer hideaways. Of course, they all have pools and stunning locations that allow easy access to the charming villages, fresh hikes, and wonderful beaches.

2. Live the high life, literally, with a scenic trek atop the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range. Here you’ll discover many fincas connected by hiking trails, ancient cobblestone paths, plunging coastline and, perhaps, even the fresh scents of olive, almond, lemon, orange blossoms and lavender.

3. There are plenty of charming villages to visit outside the main town of Palma., but Palma affords one of a kind views of the yachts of the rich and famous. After all, Majorca, with its diverse landscape and medieval highlights, is a playground for this crowd.

4. Be sure to indulge your palate at one of the posh restaurants serving culinary treasures throughout the island. Ingredients are so fresh and you’ll find some well known chefs throughout the area. If you’re really feeling indulgent, you could always opt to hire a personal chef to pamper you at your luxurious villa.
